Flex also has a Webinar on this subject which can be found here: One Line Report Webinar
Using Report Writer 3.0
To create a new One Line Report using the Report Writer navigate to Preferences >> My Reports and then click on New and choose One-Liner.

Once you reach the Report Writer screen, choose a property type. If you want to create the report for multiple property types, you will need to choose which one to start with. In this instance, we are going to be creating a One-Line report for the Residential property type.
Note: If you have a search with multiple property types in it and you have not created a one-line report for one of the property types, it will fall back to your default report defined in General Preferences.

Adding the One Line Template
From the Templates drop-down on the menu on the right hand side click on **One-Liner. This will insert the one line template with placeholder column headers and column data.
Adding Column Headers
In this example, I have deleted all of the header placeholder information by highlighting all of the cells and pressing the Delete key on my keyboard so that we don't have to remove them on a cell-by-cell basis.
Once you have deleted the placeholder information, click into the cell that you want to put your first set of information. After that, on the right hand side, choose the Data Fields menu and from the list available double click on one of the options to begin adding it to the list. From the menu that opens choose Label from the Insert menu. If you want to have the default name for the label, you can immediately choose + Insert.
Note: You will need to click into each of the cells to tell the system where to insert the data. Flexmls will insert the data wherever your cursor is at when you press + Insert.
Flexmls will also give you the option to use your own text by selecting Override Label and typing what you wanted your label to be in the Override Text option prior to clicking on + Insert.
You're also given the option to search by the field that you would like to use for headers or data. You can type in the name of the field that you're looking for in the box with a magnifying glass next to it and it will search only for fields with the text that you have typed in the box.
Adding Column Data
Again, in this example, I have deleted all of the data placeholder information so that we don't have to remove them on a cell-by-cell basis.
When you chose a field to add click into the cell that you want it to appear in and double click on the name of the field from the Data Fields drop down menu. From the menu that opens choose Data from the Insert menu and click on + Insert to add the information.
For the majority of the information that you add, you can leave the Data Format option to Auto, but in some cases, you may want to change it so that it formats information in a specific way. One of these times is if you are adding any price amount such as list price or a price per square foot option. For prices that do not include decimals, you can select Currency from the Data Format drop down and it will automatically add a $ at the beginning of the price, and insert commas where appropriate. For any prices that would include a decimal you may want to select Decimal (Currency) from the Data Format drop down.
Adding/Removing Columns & Rows
To add additional columns to a table, right click in one of the columns next to where you want your new column to be. From the Column option select either Insert Column Before or Insert Column After. Inserting before will add a new column to the left of your cursor, whereas inserting a column after will add a new column to the right of your cursor.

To remove columns, right click in the column you wish to remove, then from the Column menu choose Delete Column.

Changing Column Header Colors
Flexmls gives you the option to change the colors of the cells in your one-line report by highlighting the row then choosing the Table menu and from the Cell menu choose Cell properties.

From the Cell Properties window go to the Advanced tab and click on the button next to the Background color box to open a color picker.

Note: If you already know the hexadecimal or RGB value of the color you want to use, you can also just type it in using #xxxxxx.

Additional One-Line Functionality
We have recently added math functions to the One Line reports. You can see this in the third row labeled Total Data in every cell.
Note: Math functions do not include any labels. If you want to label a cell, you will need to type that in manually.
The Listing Counter option will display the number of listings that are in your print out. You can insert it by choosing Other from the menu on the right and then choosing Listing Counter.

To insert any of the other math functions, you will choose One Line Math from the Other menu on the right.

The math functions available are Average, Median, Sum, Min, and Max which can be chosen from the Calculation drop down.

Any numeric main fields can be used as fields to run math functions on. All of them will be found in the Main Fields drop down. Once you have chosen your Calculation and Main field, click on the + Insert button to insert the calculation

If you don't want to use any of the advanced functionality of the One Line Report, you can remove the third row by right clicking anywhere in the row, then from the Row menu choosing Delete Row.

Copying to a Different Property Type
To begin copying to a different property type, you will need to choose Source Code from the Tools menu.

On the Source Code screen, select everything and copy by either using Control + C (on a PC) or Command + C (on a mac) or by Right Clicking and choosing Copy. Then press Ok or Cancel to close the window.

After that, choose a new property type (as described above) and choose Source Code from the Tools menu again. Then paste your report into the blank box by using Control + V (on a PC) or Command + V (on a mac) or by Right Clicking and choosing Paste. Then press Ok to save the changes.

Once you press Ok, you will see your report as it appeared for the other property type.
Note: You will want to check the fields you have included in your report, as some fields are not available from one property type to another. For instance, vacant land listings will not have bedrooms or bathrooms.

Finishing Up
As you've probably noticed, some of the information on the report editor will push over to the right, this is okay. Flexmls will automatically make things narrow or wide enough to fit on the page with your information.
When you're done creating your report, or want to see what the report looks like when working on it, you can click on the Preview button in the top right hand corner of the screen. Clicking on the Preview button will open a new window or tab, so closing that window or tab will not make you lose any work that you have created.

If you haven't already, give your report a name in the One-Liner box at the top of the screen and then press Save to save your report.

Using Tessera Reports
Accessing the One Line Template
To create a new One Line Report using Tessera Reports navigate to Preferences >> My Reports and then click on New and choose Tessera Report.

On the next screen, choose One Line to begin creating the report.
Selecting that option will bring you to the system generated One Line template.
At this point in time, you will want to choose which property type you are creating the report for, as that will determine what fields will display on the report. For this example, we will be using the Residential property type, but as you can see, the other property types that you are able to input listings for are also available to create reports for.

Editing Branding Container
To edit the Branding Container at the top of the screen, click inside the box. This will open the Edit Branding Container screen.
By default the layout will be set to Horizontal and the photo position to the left. The Branding Container will always show your name and the name of your office. To add additional information, click on the left hand pane that says Click Here to Add Fields and then click on the information that you want to have added to the report or the X on the right hand side to remove things already added. Click on the Update button to save your changes.
Note: Changing the orientation to Vertical or adding more than two additional pieces of information to the Branding Container will cause an overflow that may not allow things to print out correctly.
Adding Columns and Data
To add additional columns and data, click in the container below, which will open the screen to edit the Listing Table Container.

The first box that appears is the maximum number of listings per page. You can set this to whatever number you would like, but you will receive an overflow error if it will not fit on one page. Much like in the Branding Container click on Click Here to Add Fields to be able to add columns and their corresponding data to the report. You can scroll through the list or search for the name(s) of the field(s) using the search box. Clicking on the name of the field you want to add will move it to the selected side of the box. If you want to change the display name of a field, click on the name of the field, make your change, and click Done or the refresh button to reset the label to its default.
Changing Column Header Colours
At this point in time, the only theme that changes the colors of the One Line report is the default "Chalk" theme. The remaining themes change the font and font size of the text on the page, but do not change anything else about the report.

Note: If you save a theme as inheritable for accounts that are below yours, they will be given the default theme. If they wish to change this at a later time, they are given that option without having to save a copy as their own.
Finishing Up
The Tessera Report writer allows you to easily switch back and forth to see what information is displayed and how it is laid out by using some of the options across the top of the screen. You can change the view, to see what is available across the different places that the information is viewed, the Private, Public, IDX, or VOW views are all available to preview. You can change from Edit mode to Preview mode, which will take away all of the container edit options and you can see exactly as it would appear. The other option is to change between Screen view and Page view, which will show the difference in how the printed page will look as opposed to how the report will look when pulled up on a computer screen.

When you are satisfied with the report, you can choose to save the report. If you just choose save, the report will strictly be called "One Line" and will only be accessible to you, however if you choose Save As from the drop down, you can give it a custom name.
Note: You may be given the option to choose whether or not you want the report to be inheritable.

Using One Line Reports
The One-Line Report is best used in a print out. They can be found in the Report section of the Details section on the Print screen.
